Which datacenter do you use?

We use the DediPath Dallas datacenter.

Do you have test IPs?

Which servers do you use?

We use HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen9 servers.

Node specifications:

  • Dual Intel Xeon E5-2699v3 (2x18 core 2.3GHz)
  • 256GB DDR4 ECC RAM
  • 8x1TB SSD (RAID 10)
  • Gigabit Ethernet

The good thing about Qeru VPS is that the CPU oversubscription rate is low. Each server gets 72 threads, so you're likely only sharing threads with 2-3 other users.

What's your refund policy?

We can offer a refund within 30 days of your first order.

Which virtualization system do you use?

We use KVM virtualization with the Virtualizor control panel.

Which operating systems are offered?

We offer the following operating system templates:

  • Debian 12
  • Rocky Linux 8.7
  • Rocky Linux 9.1
  • Ubuntu 18.04

In addition, we offer these ISOs for manual installation:

  • Debian 12
  • FreeBSD 13.2
  • OpenBSD 7.3
  • netboot.xyz (can be used to bootstrap other Linux distributions like Arch and openSUSE)

Alternatively, you can upload your own ISO, if you wish to use Windows or another system.

Can I add additional IPv4 addresses?

One IPv4 address is included with your VPS, and up to two additional can be bought for $2/mo each.

Do you offer IPv6?

Yes. Each VPS gets a single /64 subnet.

I installed my own OS, what's the IP information?

For IPv4, If your IP is A.B.C.D, the gateway is A.B.C.1 and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. A.B.C are the first three octets of the IP address. Say your IP address is 23.151.232.15, your gateway is 23.151.232.1.

You can also use DHCP for IPv4.

For IPv6, the gateway in Dallas is 2602:2c8::1 and the prefix length is 48. IPv6 needs to be manually configured if you're not using our templates.

Do you offer DDoS protection?

Via our upstream DediPath, we have 1 Tbps DDoS protection at our Dallas location.

How do you account for bandwidth?

We usually measure the upload/outgoing bandwidth only. Incoming bandwidth is free.

If I use more than my allocated bandwidth, do you charge overages?

No. Instead, you get capped to 20 Mbps until the end of the month.

Do you allow Bitcoin/crypto activity, Folding@Home, BOINC, etc.?

Cryptocurrency activity as well as anything using sustained CPU use 24/7 is disallowed.
